Initially I was worried because I had never heard of the brand--isymphony. After googling them, it turns out they mostly make speakers and sound systems, which explains a lot! For such a small tv, the sound quality is great. The menu offers various audio settings, and some are much louder than others. Perhaps that explains the negative reviews about sound... in my experience, the sound is exceptionally good, and not just for a "small" tv. You can try changing the settings.Video quality is OK. This model is LED backlit, but I don't think you can really tell. There are different video settings to choose from in the menu (e.g., standard, sports, vivid, etc.), but none of them look that great. The instruction manual is AWFUL. At first I couldn't get the DVD to work at all. I almost returned it. Fortunately, I found another review on a different site when someone else had taken the time to explain how it works, after... It arrived in 3 days with standard shipping. It works great. It's thin and light-weight enough to suspend from an articulating mount. A bonus is that its power input is 12V at 3A, and can be run from the 12V trailer power if needed using a simple adapter with a cigarette lighter plug. The DVD inserts on the RIGHT side, not the left. And you insert the DVD with label towards the back.
