About the VIA (Vizio Internet Apps) ...after establishing that you have a link with your brodband, reset the internet apps to the factory default then they will update and upgrade as necessary....and as far as the remote mine works great controlling streaming content....if its slow or clunky its because your imternet connection is too slow. I really like this TV ...so far the only downside is the sound like all lcd 's, while acceptable, it needs help.....i got a vizio soundbar and that helps a great deal...i also paired it with an old polk PSW10 i had and now it sounds great....this is my first soundbar so i can't really compare it to any others.....hope this helps !!! 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful Great TV for a great price, By This review is from: VIZIO E552VL 55 Inch Class LCD HDTV 120 Hz with VIZIO Internet Apps (Electronics) My first LCD was a 32" Vizio I bought about 3 and half years ago, and it still runs like new. Which is why when I decided to upgrade that another Vizio was a great choice. Not only does this TV look ginormous in my small living room, but the picture is fantastic. Be careful watching movies or shows in XHD as it's almost too real and looks kinda weird. When I watched Netflix though this did not happen as it was just in your standard 1080p format with no "extras". All in all for the price of this TV you can't go wrong. This is my first TV with any kind of apps on it, and I freakin love it! The remote is a little janky but it does work. was kinda hoping they would throw in a "qwerty" remote with this TV, but then that would probably jack the price up a bit. If you're on any sort of budget then this TV is for you!UPDATE (2/29/2012) - I figured I would update this review as I have gotten a few helpful votes (much appreciated).
