This review is from: Westinghouse LD-4055 40" Class LED HDTV (Electronics)
You used to be told if the screen was true LED array technology, which produces blacker blacks and brighter colors; or edge lit, which are a slimmer alternative to regular LCD screens. I just got one of these after the shop rep (not Amazon) insisted it was a dynamic LED array system. Not so. As soon as you switch it on, you can see the bright blobby backdrop produced by the diffuser screen and the edge lighting. And the Westinghouse web site freely admits that all its "LED" screens are of the more economical edge illuminated type. I really wanted the most current technology, even if I had to pay more or buy a smaller screen, so its going back. But movie quality is OK and price is good for a user who is happy with LCD type screens.
I found the base a bit fussy to assemble, but then realized you can put the foot plate on backwards and it looks snug, but the screws don't fit. Flip the plate and it assembles fine.
