I would have had to take it to a place about 20 miles away from my house. I finally have had enough of trying to debug Samsung TV issues. I returned both of the 5300's that exhibited the exact same issues. Hooray for Amazon return policies and ease of sending back defect products.SHAME ON SAMSUNG! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 4/8/12: Samsung service blamed my electrical in my house for ALL my issues (although they have never been here.) House is less than two years old, All other Samsung TVs that I have plugged in have NO issues (three other total). I took the TV to another person's house and sure enough the same issues occurred. So I guess If I call Samsung back the issue will be with the power delivery in a large metro area... I just retired a 30 year old Panasonic (which still works just fine) and replaced it with this Samsung. The set up was easy. I haven't played with all the internet / Smart Hub features yet, but the picture, sound and general set up are very good. I am hard of hearing and the sound on this is sufficient to overcome my deficiency, not to mention the set comes with CC built in.As to the internet / wifi - the set automatically sensed the network, asked for the password, and once that was entered and the necessary agreements in place, all the channels were in play, the wifi was up and running and here we are. The picture is great. This was worth waiting for. I had been waiting for a wifi, 32 inch TV since early last year. My only complaint, if you want to call it that, is the stand could be a little sturdier. It holds the TV fine, but it is not as stable as I think it should be. |
